Edinburgh Park Launches New Network for Employees
17/03/08
Edinburgh Park has launched a networking site for occupiers based at the west Edinburgh business park, to put employees in contact with those who share similar interests on the Park.
The networking facility is just one feature of Edinburgh Park's new website aimed at the community based in and around the Park. The website also promotes Edinburgh Park to an external audience.
The new website has been created by leading Edinburgh web design agency Digital Face. Benefitting from a shared landing page, www.edinburghpark.co.uk, visitors are directed to the area relevant to them.
The corporate site at www.edinburghpark.co.uk/corporate delivers key information to those unfamiliar with the business park. It sets Edinburgh Park in a local, regional and national context; outlines the history of its development; and details the current property opportunities available to potential occupiers.
Along with the networking function, the community site at www.edinburghpark.co.uk/community, presents more specific information about the facilities and services available at Edinburgh Park and in the vicinity, live travel information and Park news and events.
A key focus of the community website is transport. Edinburgh Park has a comprehensive green travel plan supporting alternative modes of transport and the new website will host the Park's car share scheme, matching employees who share a similar route to work.
Keith Mackie at New Edinburgh Limited comments: “These new websites will offer an excellent new service for those looking to find out more about what Edinburgh Park has to offer and also help to encourage a greater sense of community amongst existing Park occupiers.
"Green travel is a top priority at Edinburgh Park and the community website in particular is an excellent way to help our occupiers in using public transport and to promote car-sharing. Certain concierge services are also available through the website."
Edinburgh Park is home to more than 21 of the country’s leading blue chip enterprises collectively responsible for over 7,000 employees. The tranquil, landscaped surroundings, strong transport links and range of amenities on-site make it an appealing choice for many companies.
Within the northern phase of Edinburgh Park, there is remaining 48,355 sq ft (4992 sq m) available at 7 Lochside View in suites from 7,990 sq ft (742 sq m) available to let on flexible leasing terms to suit a variety of size and staff requirements with accommodation for up to 350 people and a further 150 parking spaces on site.
