Success streams in at Edinburgh Park as new tenant is secured for flagship building
01/10/09
The west Edinburgh office market has received a positive boost with the news that Business Stream is to relocate to Edinburgh Park’s flagship building, 7 Lochside View.
Edinburgh Park developer, New Edinburgh Limited (NEL), has struck a 10-year deal with Business Stream, Scotland’s largest non-domestic water and wastewater services supplier, to let the first floor at 7 Lochside View – a 20,692 sq ft space.
Pamela Grant, development director at NEL said: "This is an important deal for Edinburgh Park and we are pleased to welcome such a high profile tenant to 7 Lochside View. Convenient location and a range of amenities on tap are a top priority for Business Stream and the high quality office space at 7 Lochside View unquestionably fulfils these requirements. Edinburgh Park is proving attractive even in the recession due to the quality of the building and the profile we can offer to businesses.”
Prominently located at the north side of Edinburgh Park, 7 Lochside View combines cutting-edge design with smart and highly functional office space. The Park benefits from excellent public transport links, including frequent bus services, a dedicated railway station and a number of tram stops planned close by. The West Edinburgh location is convenient for both the expanding Edinburgh Airport and access to the City Centre, M8 and Central Belt.
Cameron Stott, director at Jones Lang LaSalle, acted for NEL. He said: “Securing Business Stream is a significant coup for both Edinburgh Park and the west Edinburgh office market as a whole, particularly in the current climate. West Edinburgh continues to be a popular location for businesses looking to relocate, benefitting from comparatively lower rates to offices in the city centre.”
Business Stream joins current occupier, JP Morgan, which moved into 7 Lochside View in 2008.
A further 32,466 sq ft of space is available at 7 Lochside View with accommodation for up to 300 people and 100 parking spaces on site. The space is available to let on flexible leasing terms, in suites from 1,995 sq ft to suit a variety of sizes and staff requirements.
Jones Lang LaSalle and GVA Grimley are joint agents for NEL.
